William Morris Big Local Games Club
The William Morris Big Local Games Club provides a relaxed, inclusive environment for a diverse range of the community to come together to have fun, boost morale and socialise free of charge
Every Tuesday from 2-5pm at The Salvation Army in Forest Road, the William Morris Big Local Games Club gather for a fun filled afternoon of socialising and games.
Our Social Value Manager, Rachel and Jon, one of our Electrical Customer relation Technicians went along this week to join in.
The club encourages teamwork and collaboration, critical thinking, identity and solve problems, apply logic, premeditate actions and define new vocabulary, whilst fostering the spirit of healthy competition and resilience when losing.
The guests received a warm welcome from Project Engagement Officer, Milla, and the residents, especially Jon, who had previously volunteered to help run the games club and whose presence had been missed since finding employment with Aston Group.
Rachel was happily introduced to Uno, and before long a large group were immersed in the game whilst others played frustration, dominoes and jigsaw puzzles.
It was a fantastic afternoon, everyone who attended were excited for the next Big Local Games Club. We look forward to supporting the club and joining the residents on many more occasions.
