Last month, we had the pleasure of joining a powerful three-day programme hosted at the Barking and Dagenham Hub, designed to inspire and equip the next generation of construction talent.

Our team members Danut Paizan CMIOSH, Julie Dunn, and Chris Masters were delighted to take part—guiding students through real-world challenges, sharing career insights, and supporting them as they developed and presented their final project designs.

This initiative brought together leading construction and built environment employers—including Bellway Homes, GSQ BRICKWORK LIMITED, Watts Group Limited, Hill Group UK, Overbury, Lovell Partnerships Ltd, Wates Group, and Willmott Dixon—to engage with 17 students through site visits, mock interviews, and hands-on learning experiences.

It was a fantastic opportunity to invest in future talent and support young people in building the skills and confidence they need to thrive in our industry.

A huge thank you to Wendy Heller, Senior Construction Skills Manager at Construction Youth Trust for leading such an impactful programme—to Clare Coombe, Employment & Skills Coordinator at London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, for your invaluable support in making this happen.

We're proud to play a part in building brighter futures!
