Celebrating Eid at Priory Court
We hosted our annual Eid Celebration at Priory Court Community Centre, in partnership with Morgan Sindall and the centre.
As part of our annual Eid celebrations, Aston Group provided a wide selection of arts and crafts activities, multiple Eid decorations, balloon arches and photo props, as well as a henna artist. This was accompanied by food and drink, cake decorating and a piñata.
Over 75 residents attended the successful event, to great acclaim, with lots of positive feedback and praise. We were especially delighted that new residents who had never attending came along this year, meaning that we were able to reach a wider section of the community.
Many residents were unknown to the centre, which we hope will result in a larger population feeling comfortable to utilise their services in future. Rachel had also invited Nuffield Health to attend to provide free health checks for residents.
Over 30 residents had their blood pressure, height, weight and BMI checked by the qualified nurses, and was an extremely popular part of the day.
