National Apprenticeship Week 2023
Aston Group are excited to be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2023 this week alongside our 12 apprentices who are currently working with us. We will be attending a variety of events in East London to promote apprenticeships and opportunities within the Built Environment and deliver Apprenticeship presentations and Q&A’s with our team and apprentices.
Aston Group have a long and proud history of employing apprentices, and appreciate the powerful benefits of investing in apprenticeships. These include expanding and up skilling our workforce, improving productivity, and the quality of our service.
Working closely with, and building strong partnerships with their training providers, we are able to adapt their training according to the needs of the business whilst also developing relevant skillsets, and bringing fresh ideas to the industry. Apprentices are keen to learn new skills which enriches and rewards, our trained colleagues by allowing them to pass on their knowledge, experience and passion within their individual roles:

- Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services
With previous apprenticeships offered in Plumbing, Pipefitting, Health & Safety, IT, Business Admin and Quantity Surveying.
We are passionate advocates about providing local young people from the communities that we live and work in, with #SkillsForLife. It’s vital to support our local youth with life changing opportunities and experiences that can equip them with the abilities and tools to build a career foundation, enhance social mobility and provide for their future families. By offering apprenticeships we are investing in a local pool of talent, that bolsters and underpins our succession plans, whilst increasing retention of workers, during and following the apprenticeship.
We are delighted that some of our previous apprentices have chosen to continue studying at higher levels, receiving degrees at University whilst continuing to further their careers with Aston Group, and we look forward to celebrating the completion of our existing cohort and identifying and welcoming the next.
