Celebrating a Successful Solar Handover at Durants Pitfield School
Aston Group had the pleasure of joining Durants Pitfield School for the official handover of their new solar installation — one of four schools in Enfield to benefit from the Greener Schools Grant and the Zero Carbon Accelerator (ZCA) initiative.
As the delivery partner for these installations, we were honoured to share the impact of the project with the students through an engaging presentation about the solar panels now powering their school.
The event truly showcased the power of collaboration. Representatives from across the partnership came together to mark the milestone, including the Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy, Mete Coban MBE, Feryal Clark MP, Cllr Sabri Ozaydin, Rebecca Cooper from RAFT, Tolu Faleti and Christine Ogunkanmi from the London Borough of Enfield, and Eres Tekeste from LHC Framework. Aston Group was proudly represented by John and Julie, who were closely involved in delivering the project.
We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful students and staff at this SEN school. The children were enthusiastic, curious, and fully engaged with the presentation — a reminder of why creating greener, more sustainable learning environments is so important.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this project a success. Together, we’re helping to build a cleaner, brighter future for Enfield’s young people.
