Celebrating our new apprentices on National Apprenticeship Week
At Aston Group, National Apprenticeship Week is an opportunity to recognise the important role apprentices play in shaping the future of our business and our industry.
Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week at Aston Group
For more than 60 years, we have proudly welcomed apprentices into our teams, providing them with the opportunity to develop their skills, gain hands-on experience and build lasting careers in the construction, mechanical and electrical, and building services sectors. Apprenticeships have always been a vital part of how we grow our workforce — combining practical, real-world learning with expert mentoring and formal education.
We believe there’s no substitute for learning on the job. By working alongside experienced engineers and industry professionals, our apprentices gain the confidence, knowledge and technical expertise needed to thrive in live environments, while making a meaningful contribution to projects that improve homes, buildings and communities across London and the South East.

Throughout National Apprenticeship Week, we’re celebrating the achievements of both past and present apprentices who have helped shape Aston Group into the business it is today. Many of our former apprentices have progressed into senior and specialist roles within the company — a testament to the long-term opportunities an apprenticeship can provide.
This year, we’re also shining a spotlight on our current apprentices, Lisa and Iman sharing their stories, including their experiences of balancing college learning with practical site work and their aspirations for the future. Their enthusiasm and dedication continue to inspire us and reinforce the value of investing in the next generation of talent.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to creating opportunities for young people and career changers alike, working closely with our education partners to ensure apprentices receive the very best support and training.
Because for us, apprenticeships aren’t just about learning a trade — they’re about building futures.
