Aston Group secures top spot on London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Framework

Aston Group is delighted to announce it has secured a place on the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London Framework, ranking first of three appointed contractors on Lot 2: Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) Contractor.

The framework will support a range of large-scale MEP works across the LSHTM estate, including plant replacement, lighting upgrades and distribution pipework, alongside internal and external refurbishment projects.

What makes this appointment particularly significant is the environment in which the work will take place. LSHTM is home to world-leading research that continues uninterrupted throughout the course of these works. Aston Group's teams will be operating within occupied buildings, delivering complex mechanical and electrical works while ensuring zero disruption to the critical scientific activity taking place around them — a task that demands precision, careful planning and the ability to respond quickly when it matters most.

This is exactly the kind of challenge Aston Group's Building Services team is built for. The business unit specialises in mechanical and electrical engineering, responsive and planned maintenance, and retrofit and decarbonisation works, delivering technical expertise across some of the most demanding and sensitive environments in the sector.

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Masters, Managing Director at Aston Group, said:

"Securing first place on this framework is testament to the skill, professionalism and adaptability of our Building Services team. Working within a live research environment like LSHTM requires a different level of precision and planning, and we're proud to have been recognised for our ability to deliver complex MEP works without compromising the critical work happening around us. We look forward to building a strong, long-term partnership with LSHTM and playing our part in supporting their world-leading research."

Aston Group looks forward to supporting London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London and playing its part in keeping their estate running at its best.
